Clinic exclusively launches innovative solution for intimate health rejuvenation
A top aesthetics clinic is the first in the UK to be offering shelase – a brand new form of intimate health rejuvenation.
The non-surgical treatment is ideal for treating the distressing symptoms of vaginal atrophy.
Helping to ease symptoms associated with concerns such as stress urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness and discomfort, the arrival of shelase marks a huge step forward for women who have previously been left to suffer in silence.
Introduced in August by The ME Clinic in Cardiff this non-surgical and entirely non-invasive technology offers multiple treatments for intimate health rejuvenation.
The ME Clinic was the very first clinic to offer shelase, adding it to its recently launched gynaecology service. It allows for a tailored approach to treating vaginal atrophy symptoms.
What make shelase different?
Created for women suffering with vaginal atrophy as a result of ageing, menopause or post childbirth, this new technology promises intimate health rejuvenation including physical symptoms as well as mental wellbeing.
Existing intimate treatments are designed to cosmetically enhance or rejuvenate the vagina and labia, but shelase is designed to address gynaecological concerns. Many of these have previously been treated with minimal success by pills or (now restricted in the UK) surgical mesh.
With many negative stories in the media regarding surgical mesh and the long-term health of patients undergoing the surgery needed to implant it, many are looking for a non-surgical alternative for intimate health rejuvenation.
shelase is an entirely non-surgical energy assisted medical treatment for the reduction of symptoms associated with vaginal atrophy. It’s not a cosmetic rejuvenation treatment.
During this intimate health rejuvenation treatment a small probe is inserted into the vagina. Unlike cosmetic treatments to improve the aesthetics of the intimate area, shelase is a medically-focused treatment to improve the health and wellbeing of patients.
There’s no downtime associated with this treatment, and patients can be in and out of their medical professions practice within half an hour.
Dr Lyndsey Thomas from The ME Clinic says:
“The ME Clinic is the most advanced medical and aesthetic laser clinic in Wales and is currently the only clinic in the UK to offer the much talked shelase treatment for vaginal atrophy.
“All consultations and intimate health rejuvenation treatments are carried out by some of the industry’s most experienced practitioners, and we’re seeing some amazing results using this device.
“Our caring approach together with a warm welcome throughout the clinic will give you the reassurance that customer service is paramount to everything we do. We offer our patients the safest, most advanced and effective non-surgical medical and aesthetic treatments ensuring the highest ethical standards are maintained,” he concludes.
A course of intimate health rejuvenation treatments is required in most cases, with prices starting from £650. Book a consultation or contact the team for more information.
